Doodling on the iPad

A few doodles from 2013/2014 didn’t fit the Chinese zodiac animals theme. They can be found here. Most were doodled in Auryn Ink. One was painted using ArtRage on the iPad. One was doodled in Auryn Ink, then imported as background picture for finishing touches in ArtRage.

The above is a painting in the Paul Klee style modeled on a favorite doll of a certain person.

Here is a failed attempt to draw in the same Paul Klee style. The drawing captures inside jokes of a certain family life which surely will be lost on everyone else. Note that the clown from the previous painting is again featured in this home scene.

Here is another inside joke. It captures a screenshot of a game I wrote in 2004 called My Wife running on iMac (it doesn’t – it was compiled for Windows). This was mostly doodled in Auryn Ink, then imported into ArtRage for the finishing touches.

Here is a real screen capture from 2004. The game is quite straightforward. Use the mouse to point and click to set a goal for the Husband to walk to. The poor husband collects all 40 socks to finish the game, while avoiding annoying cats and my wife.  An encounter with a cat will lighten your load by freeing a few socks you have collected.  Stumble upon my wife, and it will set you back one life (out of three).

Here are some more doodles of animals that don’t fit in the list of Chinese zodiac animals.

Er… that’s it for now.

About Xinhai Dude 辛亥生

The name Xinhai Dude 辛亥生 is a pun in Chinese, as it means both “he who was born in Xinhai” as well as “he who studies Xinhai”. I had an ambitious plan to write something about the great Xinhai Revolution of 1911, thus my blog https://xinhaidude.com. But after an initial flurry of activities the initiative petered out. One day I will still carry it through. But for now, this website has turned into a conglomerate of my work on various topics of interest to me, including travel pictures, RC model airplane flying, inline skating, ice skating, classical music composition, science fiction short stories, evolution and atheism.

  2. 非常有創意, 新潮藝術明朗有趣, 不但賞觀者易體會, 還有更多想像空間, 小丑圖案設計我更喜歡.
